Front

This patient from Pittsburgh was bothered by the way his left ear protruded more so than his right ear. An interesting fact about otoplasty (ear-pinning surgery) is that often one ear is more poorly positioned than the other. Sometimes this asymmetry is at least as bothersome to the patient as the ears protruding. In this case, no surgery was required on the normal side, only on the protruding side. After the otoplasty surgery the patient was more comfortable with his appearance. He appreciated the very natural appearance of both ears.
